TradeWinds Island Resorts wants Travel Agents to "Just Let Go"

As a travel agent of twenty six years, sometimes I wonder, have I seen it all? Could it be that I've been to Florida dozens of times and have somehow overlooked a truly amazing beach destination? Apparently I did. I seemed to have missed an incredible stretch of white sand on Florida's Gulf of Mexico beaches that was Voted TripAdvisor's No. 4 Beach in the U.S. in 2016, based on millions of reviews from travelers around the world. I'm talking about St. Pete Beach and a visit there wouldn't be truly complete without a stay at TradeWinds Island Resorts.Tradewinds Resort

I had the opportunity to visit these two incredible properties that span over 25 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds. Some hotels claim to be resorts only to find that they are - let's say lacking. That's not the case here. With seemingly endless amounts of activities and amenities, I found it impossible to experience everything TradeWinds has to offer. Both hotels offer a variety of rooms and suites with magnificent Gulf Views and a host of dining options (14) that are fit to please any palate.

Tradewinds BeachSituated on 20-acres of beachfront splendor, the TradeWinds Island Grand is designed with "fun in mind". Start your day with free rides on their three-story water slide or relax in a comfortable cushioned beach cabana. Guests can even drop anchor on a floating cabana. It's like having your own little private island in the Gulf of Mexico. After swimming all day in any of the five heated pools, a rest on a beachside hammock is a perfect choice for a well-deserved break. If and when you're done relaxing, there are plenty of activities that will keep you occupied such as water jetpack, paddleboard, and even an offshore water park. Drop-off kids camps are available at both properties that are filled with crafts and family activities.

Guy Harvey Outpost is a casual beachfront resort with VIP Cabanas, open fire tables and the popular Sand Bar. A marine biologist, diver, photographer, artist and angler, Guy Harvey's appreciation of marine wildlife is entwined throughout the resort. For the adventurous type, fishing and diving programs are available or guests can just unwind at the resort. Two swimming pools, whirlpool, water sports, and themed activities tailored just for kids are all available.

Dining at the RumFish Grill is a culinary and visual experience. The centerpiece is a 33,500 gallon aquarium featured on Animal Planet's hit show "Tanked". Visitors can even "Swim with the Fishes" and snorkel in the aquarium. There are also indoor/outdoor bars, live entertainment and a retail store carrying the area's largest selection of Guy Harvey merchandise.

Ultimately, TradeWinds Island Resorts seems to have covered it all.
